Merudio parent company Scribendi Inc. is recognized as a Best Workplace™ in Technology for innovations in artificial intelligence-based editing.
Chatham, Ontario, March 11, 2022: Scribendi Inc., an industry leader in high-quality editing and proofreading, has been named a Best Workplace™ in Technology for its use of artificial intelligence (AI) in this field.
To place on this list, Great Place to Work® requires organizations to have completed its certification program in the past year and to primarily work in the technology industry.
Scribendi's foray into AI and technology began in 2017 with Scribendi President Patricia Riopel and CEO Enrico Magnani. In an effort to drive innovation in the traditionally paper-based field of editing, they developed Scribendi AI, which provides a grammatical error detection (GEC) tool to help editors automatically find errors and inconsistencies in text.
What separates Scribendi AI's GEC tool from others is its dependence on deep learning, which can mimic human brain functions. Rather than find in-text errors based on rules, Scribendi's GEC, called the Scribendi Accelerator, can find errors that reflect the nuances of human language—and the implications of this for improving Merudio and Scribendi editors' speed and workflows cannot be overstated.
